EX-M.P. POET HONOURED
RARE HEREFORD CEREMONY A ceremony of such an unusual character that only two or three of the kind have taken place during the past century at Hereford was witnessed in the Town Hall recently, when the freedom of the city was conferred upon the Chief Steward of Hereto :J. Sir John Arkwright is the compo r of "The Supreme Sacrifice,” and formerly represented Hereford in Parliament. He has his seat at Kinsham, in the county, and has always been intimately associated with religious, social and cultural movements of the city and county. The Frr-dom was presented in an apple-wood casket similar to that in which Lord Nelson received bis.
