PEOPLE’S DAY SPOILT BY RAIN United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received October 25, 11.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE, October 25.
A terrific downpour of rain spoilt People’s Day at the show thus causing heavy loss to the Agricultural Society, which spent £25,000 extra to make the Centenary Show notable. Instead of 60.000 attending, only a few thousand were present, which was the crowning disappointment for a great effort. Rain caused the postponement of the great floral pageant through the city. A procession two miles long with decorated floats and led by the Grenadier Guards Band is planned. The display will now be held to-
