PRELIMINARY EVENTS In order to save time at the High School athletic sports to be held today, a number of championship and field events were held on Wednesday. Kippenberger (violin), dialogue, “The Honest Doctor,” Nukuroa girls, recitative trio, Nukuroa girls, recitations, Frank Butters, Jean Scarlet, Robin Butters, and Len Scarlet.

Those who gave winning items, all of whom receive prizes, were: First meeting, recitation by Frank Butters, second meeting, dialogue, Clara and Chrissie Eathorne, third meeting, recitative trio Beth Butters, Anette Hayman and Mildred Sullivan; final meeting, dialogue, Molly and Lilly Meyer, Jessie Butters, Meryl Allington.
