CARD MATCH.
A friendly card match between members of the Temuka and Geraldine branches of the Hibernian Society, was played on Wednesday, resulting in a win for the home team by 8 points. The scores were: Euchre, Temuka 16, Geraldine 18; Bridge, Temuka 3, Geraldine 0; Cribbage, Temuka 18, Geraldine 27. HOCKEY. By a margin of three goals to one, a team representing the Geraldine County Hockey Sub-Association defeated South Canterbury on the Geraldine Hockey Club's ground yesterday. John R. Procter, Ltd., the Premier Opticians, Christchurch, will be making their next professional visit to Geraldine, on Wednesday, 15th August.
