COAL FOR THE NEEDY
HOSPITAL BOARD VOTES £SOO. By Telegrapb—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, July 25. The North Canterbury Hospital Board decided to-day to grant £SOO to the Mayor’s Coal and Blanket Fund for the provision of coal in necessitous cases. The reason for the grant was the reduced contributions by the public to the Mayor’s Fund. Application will have to be made to the Minister for consent to the grant.
