Plasticine may be a children’s toy, but it is also a most useful adjunct to have somewhere In the house. It fills up any odd crevice, holes in plaster, nail-holes, etc., and will even arrest a leak in a gass-pipe. It is far cleaner to use than putty, while as there are various colours to choose from it makes a first-class dodget. A bridge party to augment the gymnasium fund of the Y.M.C.A. was held on Monday at the home of Mrs R. L. Eames, Jackson Street. Freezias and iceland poppies made a pretty decoration for the drawing room while yellow jonquils were used with effect in the breakfast room. Those present were:—Mesdames Eames, L. G. Cameron, H. D. Oddie, J. Virtue, Sandrey, Williamson, G. B. Green. G. Wardell, J. Duncan, C. Coxhead, J. Moody, R. Jordan, Crosbie, J. Skinner, D. Todd, Washer, Hannan, E. Satchell, C. Don, L. Hudson, W. Rollinson.
