INQUIRY INTO OFFICER’S DISMISSAL, United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright CANBERRA, June 26. On the recommendation of the Minister of Defence (Sir George Pearce), the Federal Cabinet has decided to appoint a Royal Commission to investigate the invaliding and discharge of Lieutenant-Commander A. D. Casey from the Royal Australian Navy. Lieutenant-Commander Casey took his life after he had been discharged. His relatives have since sought an inquiry into the circumstances of his dismissal, which, it *is claimed, contributed to his death. Lieutenant-Commander Casey received no compensation when he was dismissed.
