BASKETBALL
TIMARU SUB-ASSOCIATION. The Timaru Basketball Sub-Associa-tion’s competition was continued on the Caroline Bay courts on Saturday. Again, as last week, the scores were high in the A grade, but much closer in the lower grade. The highest score to date this season was registered when after a very one-sided contest, High School Old Girls A 1 beat their club-mates, High School Old Girls A 3, by 39 points to one. The other games were more even, the play in all games being fast and of a good standard. Results are as follow: A Grade. High School Old Girls A 1 beat High School Old Girls A 3, 39-1. Technical Old Girls A 1 beat Baptist 24-8. High School Old Girls A2 beat Technical Old Girls A2, 17-14. B Grade. Trinity beat Technical High School A, 13-7. Washdyke A beat Y.Gym B, 14-4. Y.Gym. A beat Washdyke 8, 16-6. Technical High Schooi B beat Blue Triangle, 9-6.
