FEATHER CONTEST By Telegraph—Press Association BLENHEIM, June 24. Clarrie Rayner, 9st, Blenheim, successfully defended the professional featherweight title last night, knocking out Cyril Hurne. Bst 21b, Wellington, in the sixth of a scheduled fifteen rounds contest. Although a clever ring general, Hume found that he could not concede 121 b to the fast and hard-hitting young champion. Rayner was leading on points when he dropped the challenger for counts of nine and eight early in the sixth session, and the referee intervened on the third knock down. Hurne replaced Wright, the bantam champion, at short notice.
