NEW TELEVISION COMPANY FORMED. British Official Wireless (Received May 23, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, May 22. A new television company was floated to-day. The Marconi Coy. and Electric and Musical Industries, Ltd., have combined and will hold shares equally in the new concern. Lord Inverforth is chairman of the Board, which includes the Marchese Marconi, Mr Alfred Clark (chairman of Electric and Musical Industries, Ltd.), and the managing directors of the two concerns. The new company will be known as the Marconi E.M.I. Television Company, Ltd., and the agreement relates to high definition television.
