MINE EXPLOSION
SERIOUS LOSS OF LIFE FEARED. (Received May 17. 12.50 a.m.) United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright BRUSSELS. May 16. It is feared that 39 lives were lost in a fire following a fire damp explosion in a colliery near Paturages. Three dead and four injured have been brought to the surface, constant falls of rock impeding the rescuers.
