United Press Association B\ .- , Telegraph— Copyright (Received May 16, 8.0 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 16. At the wool sales 8364 bales were offered and 6167 sold, as well as 3571 privately. Competition was more widely distributed, and values were on a par with the previous day’s rates. Germany and France were the chief operators, supported by Japan and Yorkshire. Greasy merino made to 23id per lb.
