SUPPORT FOR BISHOP. By Telegraph—Press Association CAMBRIDGE, May 16. At the annual meeting of parishioners of St. Andrew's Anglican Parish last night, Bishop Cherrington, acting Vicar of Cambridge, declared emphatically, in reply to the Ohaupo parishioners’ request that the Rev. G. G. Bell's affairs should be further investigated, that the living of St. Andrews was vacant —that Mr Bell was no longer licensed i •• capacity in the parish, nor would p Cherrington renew his licens. _.;dsr any consideration. The meeting carried a resolution unanimously approving the entire action taken by the Bishop in removing Mr Bell from office. The meeting confirmed the appointment of a vestry and other officers elected at the meeting held on May 1. The Bishop made a strong plea for the parishioners now to get together and restore the parish to its former influential position.
