KING ATTENDS NEWMARKET. British Official Wireless (Received May 2, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, May 1. The King left Windsor Castle this morning for Newmarket, where he will be the guest of the Jockey Club until Friday. If the weather is favourable the King will attend the Rugby League cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday. Royal Courtesies. The King and Queen of Siam were entertained at luncheon by the Prime Minister (Mr Ramsay Macdonald) and Miss Macdonald at 10 Downing Street. Prince and Princess Kaya of Japan visited the Wallace collection, Westminster Abbey, and the Houses of Parliament. At the last mentioned place they were received by the Speaker. They also visited the London Zoo and other London points of interest. Birthday ol' King’s Uncle. The Duke of Connaught, uncle of the King, to-day celebrated his 84th birthday.
