INTERNATIONAL PLANS FOR PROTECTION

Nearly 60 nations were represented at the preliminary meeting of the London Conference of the International Union for the Protection of Industrial Property. The plenary session of the conference will take place in the Locarno room at the Foreign Office. The last conference of the kind was held in 1925, and this is the first occasion on which the Union has met in London. The subjects to be discussed are important, but are highly technical matters relating to the protection fe patent rights, designs, trade marks and other kindred matters coming within the scope of the Union. Sir Leith Ross heads t'he British delegation.
