MAN AND WIFE SHOT DEAD. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 2, 10 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 2. A shooting tragedy occurred on a dairy farm in the Minmi district in the vicinity of Newcastle, as a result of which Emanuel Foot (52) and his wife (44) are dead. The latter was apparently killed first, the top of her head being blown off, while the husband is reported to have committed suicide with a shot-gun, a son witnessing his father’s act from the milking shed. The family consists of nine. The motion of the tragedy is unknown.
