STATE ASSISTANCE FOR WORK IN ANTARCTIC. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received April 25, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 24. The Government has made a grant of £IO,OOO to an expedition, which will shortly proceed to Graham Land, under the leadership of Mr John Rymill. The project is to explore one of the large unknown coastal areas in the Antarctic, tying between Luitpold land and Charcot Land, and to make a journey along the western side of Graham Land. It is expected that the party will remain in the Antarctic for about 32 months. The Prince of Wales is patron of the expedition.
