TRAINING POLICE
“ PE OF NEW COLLEGE COURSES. UnltcJ Press Association—B.v Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received April 25, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 24. The new Police College at Hendon, which* the Prince of Wales will open on May 31, is equipped for a two years’ course. The College includes replicas of the Metropolitan Police Court and the Criminal Record Office of Scotland Yard. Thus it is hoped that the training of police chiefs will be most realistic. Embryo policemen will be subjected to gruelling cross-examinations in the box of a sham police court, to obtain first-hand experience in correct court procedure. The detection courses will illustrate staged murder scenes, in which significant clues will be pointed out. Also demonstrations in traffic control by means of model vehicles will be given.
