Marie Louise Martin was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment and 23 out of her 27 associates were sentenced to shorter terms. During several days of the secret trial, Marie was inscrutable, before the fiercest cross examination. She refused to disclose the secrets of the international organisation, and earned the sobriequet of “The Iron Woman.” Her associates, however, made many revelations.
