THE CHURCHES
TO-MORROW’S SERVICES. The services in the Congregational Church will be conducted in the morning by Mr J. E. Chiles, and in the evening by Mr E. J. Thompson. The services at Trinity Presbyterian Church will be conducted by the Rev. A. J. H. Dow. Harvest thanksgiving services will be held in Banks Street Methodist Church to-morrow at 11 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. The preacher will be the Rev. J. D. McArthur. The Rev. H. L. Fiebig. 8.A., will be the preacher at Woodlands Street at 11 a.m.; Mr J. E. Chiles at 6.30 p.m. The Rev. T. H. Carr will conduct his farewell service at Waimataitai at 11 a.m.; the Rev. H. L. Fiebig, B.A. preaching at 6.30 p.m. Mr G C. Ellis will preach at Kensington at 11 a.m., the Rev. T. H. Carr closing his two years ministry in the circuit with a farewell service at 6.30 p.m. Harvest services wil be conducted at Pareora at 2 p.m. by the Rev. J. D. McArthur; and at Claremont and Fairview by the Rev. H. L. Fiebig, B. at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively. Other appointments as per “Plan.” The services in St. Mary’s Parish will be as follows: Holy Communion at St. Mary’s, St. John’s and S. Peter’s at 8 а. at All Saints at 9.30 a.m. and at St. Mary’s at 11 a.m. (choral). Matins at St. John’s at 11 a.m. and evensong at St. Michael’s at 6.30 p.m. There will be special Lenten Mission services at б. p.m. in St. Mary’s, St. Peter's and All Saints. Harvest thanksgiving services will be held at the Baptist Church. At both services, which will be of a musical character, Rev. J. Russell Grave will preach. An auction sale of produce will take place on Monday evening, preceded by an illustrated lecture by Mr Grave on “A Summer Holiday in the Playground of Europe.” The services at Chalmers Presbyterian Church will be conducted by the Rev. Llywelyn Williams, B.A. His subjects will be “Building with Sapphires, ’ and “The Uplands of God.” A Congregational social and welcome to Mrs Williams will be held on March 22, at 8 p.m.
