LOSSES ON ENGLISH COASTS I British Official Wireless (Received December 20, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, December 19. With the light of motor car lamps focussed on a small Belgian steamer, “Charles Jose,” which had drifted ashore on the South Devon coast, the captain’s wife and nine members of the crew were rescued early yesterday morning. The captain remained aboard the vessel. The crew of seven of the 90-ton Isle of Man steamer “Ben Blanche” were i brought into Swansea by lifeboat, after Ithe vessel struck the rocks in thick weather.
