At the wool sales to-day. 10,093 bales were offered and 9192 sold, as w r ell as 1482 privately. There was good general competition and the market closed firm, and equal to the highest point of the week for all types. Greasy merino fleece sold to 32id per lb, for five bales from Yass. The average price of greasy wool for the first three days of this week was £l9 14s 6d per bale, equal to 15.8 d per lb. LONDON WOOL SALES MARKET STEADY AT LATE RATES United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, December 6. At the wool sales, 7110 bales were offered, including 4394 bales of New Zealand. About 6000 bales were sold The sale closed steady at late rates. Compared with tlie October closing rates, merino, greasy, superior, were barely 15 per cent dearer; medium 12* per cent; inferior 74 to 10 per cent; scoureds, all round 15 to 20 per cent; crossbreds, flne, barely 25 per cent; fine and medium 20 per cent; medium 10 to 15 per cent; coarse 15 per cent; slipes 10 to 15 per cent dearer. The total catalogued was 113,630, and there were sold:—Home 50,200 bal> ; Continent 58,100; held over 21.000 The total Australian sold was 56,000 bales; New Zealand 46.500 bales. New Zealand Greasy crc. bred "OJ K” 122 d, slipc. halfbn-d lamb, "Wlm/Tbs” top 18d, average 13ld.
