PUPILS’ CONCERT
The stage of The Little Playhouse was prettily decorated with brass bowls Filled with shaded roses last night, for the very excellent concert given by Mrs C. O. Ewings and her pupils. Mrs Ewings wore a frock of black georgette, embossed with gold •:nd pastel tinted flowers. The plain bodice was made with a deep yoke of gold lace, which also formed long points over the sleeves. Miss Olive Ewings wore a frock of deep apricot crepe-de-chene. cut on straight lines. The bodice was finished at the back with a large bow of crepe-de-chene. Among the performers were Misses E. Paisley, who wore a frock of cherry coloured panne velvet; M. Ramsay, dark blue patterned georgette; E Paisley gold satin: A. Lytligoe lavender crepe-de-chene: W. Shlers striped silk frock; M. O'Brien white lacc; E Bayliss printed apricot rayon; H. Arras almond green charmeuse; M. Arras red and white pique voile; I Bayliss blue and gold rayon; J. Metson pink figured silk voile. At the conclusion of the programme, Miss Paisley, on behalf of the pupils, presented Mrs Ewings with a beautiful bouquet of crimson rases and maidenhair fern, tied with crimson ribbon streamers Mrs Ewings was also presented witk a large box of chocolates by the Paisleyfamily in appreciation of her work.
