BAIL REFUSED Bv Telegraph — Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, December 5. Five charges were preferred against John Black Batchelor (32), solicitor’s clerk, in the Magistrate’s Court to-day, alleging perjury in the Supreme Court on August 24, while giving evidence in a case concerning a petition for the dissolution of a marriage; also with wilfully attempting to pervert the course of justice, and with fabricating evidence with intent to mislead the Supreme Court.
