FATE OF PETITIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, November 7. The Public Petitions Committee reported to the House to-day that it had no recommendation to make on a large number of petitions asking for the amendment of the Gaming Act. The committee pointed out that a matter of policy was involved, and the subject matter of the petitions was dealt with in the Gaming Amendment Bill at present before the House.
