ONLY A CLOCK SAVED. By Telegraph —Prase Aeaoclatlon CHRISTCHURCH, October 22. The Prime Minister's home at Cheviot was totally destroyed by fire early this morning. The house was of six rooms, built of wood, and situated three miles from Cheviot. Mr Robert Forbes, the Prime Minister’s only son. was living in the house by himself at the time. The only articlf saved was a clock valued as a family heirloom. In the Are were destroyed many articles much prized by Mr Forbes, such as presentations and illuminated addresses.
