SONG RECITAL
PI’PILS OF MR D. BLAIR. On Tuesday the audience at the recital given by the pupils of Mr D. Blair was privileged to hear some decidedly promising vocalists and it can be confidently expected that at subsequent appearances in public, they will be able to demonstrate the improvement which their tuition has wTought. Young singers at various stages were heard and a warm audience thoroughly appreciated a most praiseworthy evening's work on behalf of all who took part. The programme was a fairly lengthy one. but it was given in a manner that commanded attention, and the names of a varied list of composers ensured variety of a good class. A word of praise is, of course, due Mr Blair for the practical results of his vocal and artistic instruction to the students, but also is he to be complimented on the manner in which lie nlaved all the accompaniments.
