CHANGE IN SYSTEM OPPOSED. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright AUCKLAND, October 18. In furtherance of the movement to oppose the suggested changes in the present system of marketing butter and cheese, the New Zealand Dairy Produce Association has been in touch j with the London Importers' Association. The proposals came originally from the Importers' Association; out they were amended by the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board, which incorporated restrictions on f.o.b. selling. The Free Marketing Association cabled the text of a unanimous resolution opposing any interference in the freedom of factories to dispose of their produce as they thought fit, which was passed at a meeting held in Auckland on Friday. The Importers' Association has replied: "Your cablegram circulated among all members. As an association we have no desire to advocate anv regulations which, in the opinion of the dairy industry, are unacceptable. We draw attention to the fact that the proposed regulations were framed in conjunction with the Dairy Board at their request and with whom, representing the dairy industry, we are carrying on negotiations." To obtain Dominion-wide support for its object, the Free Marketing Association called a meeting of representatives of the industry to be held in Wellington on November 6.
