The unemployed return Issued today shows that the total receiving relief ur.dvr the No 5 scheine. excluding gold prospectors, is 45.G26. and the men on the registers unplaced, or ineligible for relief for various reasons, 4301; tota. 52,597. The men on the registers, whose relief wages are supplemented for full time employment number 3700. This is from actual dato colit ted from the various districts The majority are employer, by local bodies for their rationed perkd of work under Scheme 5. and given an additional day's work and remuneration by the employing uthorities. The workers engag in industrial undertakings, whose earnings are subsldistd from the unemployment fund total 26,391, including 10.110 farm workers, 6360 building tradesmen and builders' labouiers. and 3246 gold miners and prospectors.
