Mr Andrew Gibson, the Liverpool shipowner, left £699,913, including approximately £IOO,OOO to his cousin, Mr John Anderson, of Christchurch, New Zealand. ADVICE RECEIVED BY MAIL. October 18 When the cable message was referred to Mr John Anderson to-night, he said that by the last English mall he had received a letter from his cousin’s lawyers informing him that he was a beneficiary under his cousin's will, and that he would share in the residue of the estate. The letter from the lawyers stated also that Mr Anderson's share on realisation, would amount to a sum considerably less than that mentioned in the cable news. Mr Anderson, who is eighty-three years old, is one of the survivors of the band of Canterbury pilgrims, who arrived by the first four ships, arriving by the ship George Seymour, with his parents in 1850. For many years Mr John Anderson has been head of the well-known engineering firm of Andersons. Ltd., which his father developed.
