CROSSING ACCIDENT
CREAM LORRY WRECKED. By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND. September 5. The Auckland-Rotorua express crashed into : cream lorry at Paerata railway station at 11 o’clock this morni j. The driver, Bert Adams, mariied, was hurled right over the cab of the railway r ngine and fell on the side of the line. He was sent to hospital suffering from facial injuries, a deep cut on the body and shock. The lorry was smashed to pieces, the engine was damaged and the express delayed 75 minutes irtil another engine was obtained. An eye-witness said he tried to warn the lorry driver but his vision was appaicntly obscured.
