hfmarkable reception to MRS McCOMBS. By Telegraph—Pres* Association CHRISTCHURCH, August 25. A remarkable reception was accorded Mrs E. McCombs. Labour candidate for Lyttelton, when she opened her campaign at Lyttelton this evening. There was a prolonged demonstration from a crowded audience when sh« rose to speak, and at the end of her address, there was cheering and applause for several minutes. Mrs McCombs said that if elected she would vote for the restoration or educational facilities, and she spoke ai length of the harm done, especially .o the sons and daughters of working men by the reduction of the ejqienditure on education. Mrs McComos criticised the Governments unemployment policy and enumerated Labour's policy for dealing with the accordc(i a vote of thank* and confidence.
