MOTORIST CHARGED

NEGLIGENT DRIVING ALLEGED By Telegraph—Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, August 14. Hairs on the underp-.rt of a car he was driving formed the principal evidence in a charge of negligently driving, thereby causing bodily injury to Harold William Hill, brought against Leonard Bichens in the Supreme Court to-day. A pathologist, in evidence, said that the hairs were similar to those taken from Hill’s body. Bichens declared that he was driving at midnight when he found Hill lying injured on the road. He took him to a doctor and informed the police. The hearing will continue to-morrow. The grand jury returned “no bill” against a Maori girl, Bella Thompson, on a charge of murdering her infant child, but a “true bill” on a charge of concealment of birth.
