FATAL DRINKING PARTY
DEATH FOLLOWS FALL. By I’eleßrapn—Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH. June 23. The story of a party that ended fatally for one of the participants. D. J. Hepburn (52). farm labourer, was disclosed at an inquest at Mahoenui to-day. A number of farmers and other residents visited several houses where liquor was consumed in a garage. | Hepburn tripped over a tyre and fell, j He. with others, visited another house. I and the party went to a hut and slept. | Hepburn and McKano slept in the I same bed. When McKane awoke in j the morning, he found that Hepburn was dead beside him. A jury returned a verdict that HepI bum died accidentally as a result of injuries in a fall.
