WOMEN’S INSTITUTES

•* RANGITIRA VALLEY. The monthly meeting of the Rangitira Valley Women’s Institute was held last Friday evening at the residence of Mrs G. A. Davey. Mrs Talbot presided over a fair attendance. Correspondence was dealt with, invitions being received from Hilton for four members to attend their next meeting, and from Milford for two members to attend their birthday party on June 30th. The annual birthday party was postponed till July sth, Mrs Talbot kindly offering to give the cake. The committee were left to arrange the evening’s entertainment. The president introduced Miss Manson who spoke on her visit to Canada, relating many interesting experiences while travelling through that country. She was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Supper was then dispensed.
