FARMER CAUGHT BY FALLEN POWER LINE. By TelegraDn—Association CHRISTCHURCH, May 8. Richard Hampton <34), a farmer of Little Rakaia, was killed to-day when he came into contact with a fence on to which a power line had been blown down. Mr Hampton left his home at six o’clock this morning to bring in a team of horses, and did not return. His wife found him two hours later, holding on to a wire fence. He was then dead. A break in the power line was found 100 yards away.
