INTERNATIONAL CONTEST. United Press Association—By Electrio Telettraoh —Copyright (Received May 7, 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 6. In the international 250 miles motor race at Brooklands, the Hon. Adrian Lewis, driving an Alfa-Romeo, was first, averaging 88.07 miles per hour. E. R. Hall, M.G. Magnette, was second, averaging 82.77 miles per hour. Mrs Wisdom, M.G. Magnette, the only woman competing, was third. She averaged 81.24 miles per hour. There were two narrow escapes. Eyston, in the third lap, was going at seventy miles an hour, when a wheel flew off and struck and injured an official. Eyston struggled a hundred yards to prevent the car overturning. Elmes crashed at a corner when he skidded and the car somersaulted. He escaped unhurt.
