PARALYSED BY FRIGHT

YOUTH COLLAPSES AFTER SENTENCE. UNIONTOWN, Pa., March 25. Paralysed by fright after he was sentenced to a reformatory, Frank Gardner is gradually regaining the use of his limbs under the care of his mother. Physicians who examined the young man told the court that the paralysis was genuine and that his mother’s care would accomplish more for him than any hospital treatment. Gardner is now able to walk with the help of a cane, and the doctors say they believe recovery will be complete. The youth was sentenced to the reform school at Huntingdon, Pa., on a charge of being the driver of a truck that killed three girls. He collapsed within three hours and physicians said he was paralysed by fear of the sentence.
