By Telegraph—Prase Association CHRISTCHURCH, March 27. Owing to the poor nominations received, the Hororata Racing Club has decided to abandon its meeting on April Bth. Application is to be made by the Club to the District Committee for permission to race on May 27th. AUCKLAND RACING CLUB. nnF.mc IN STAKE REDUCTIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, March 27. An encouraging decision in regard to prize money for future events was made by the Auckland Racing Club. At was decided that the stakes for tlje eight classic races for which entries of yearlings are taken next June, shall be the same as those for the corresponding races in last year’s schedule. This is the first time for several years that it has not been found necessary to reduce stakes. PILLOW FIGHT IN MEXICO. THIRD IN "SECONDARY FEATURE." United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 27, 5.5 p.m.) AGUA CALIENTE, March 26. In the Secondary Feature Race at a mile and twenty yards, Pillow Fight ran third. He was beaten by Lovers All and Lemon Hills. Lovers All is a three-year-old filly, owned by the Meadowbrook stable. She went into an early lead and was never headed, finishing in lmin 40sec. Lemon Hills is a likely starter in the 25,000Dollar Handicap next Sunday. He overtook Pillow Fight in the home stretch, and finished two lengths behind the winner. Pillow Fight started slowly, but moved into a position of contention in the back stretch. He bore out at the last turn and fell back steadily in the straight, finishing two lengths ahead of Satin Spear, who was in fourth place, but a length behind Lemon Hills. Tea Trader Runs Second. Tea Trader, ran second in the Meteor I Handicap over three-quarters of a mile. Sun Dot was first, and Sharp Thoughts third.
