At the wool sales. 9,345 bales were offered, including 5626 New Zealand, of which approximately 7,046 bales were sold. Offerings were mostly cleared under good Home and Continental competition. The better grades of merinos realised full rates. Crossbreds were irregular, and are now about par with the opening level. New Zealand: Scoured merinos, "Waratah." top 17d. average 168 d.
