“WORLD’S WORST IDEA.”
LINDRUM ON BAULK LINE RULE. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 22, 7 p.m.) LONDON, December 22. Walter Lindrum in an interview with "The Daily Herald” described the baulk line rule in billiards as the world’s worst idea. They had given the experiment an extensive trial and no one had gained. Attendances had fallen off considerably, and every leading professional was hundreds of pounds down as compared with last year's receipts when records were being smashed. The public want to witness first class billiards, particularly big breaks. When he returned to England next year he would not play baulk line billiards.
