CONTROL OF MALAYA
COLONIAL OFFICE INQUIRY. British Official Wireless (Received September 28, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, September 27. Brigadier General Sir Samuel Wilson, Permanent Under-Secretary to the Colonies, is proceeding to Malaya on October 20, at the instance of the Colonial Secretary, to discuss with the High Commissioner, rulers and other representative persons, the proposals to decentralise certain public services, so that the Government in the United Kingdom may have the fullest information at first hand of all aspects of the matter.
Sir Samuel will be accompanied by Mr G. Gent, of the Colonial Office. It is not expected he will return to England before the end of January.
