WOMEN'S INSTITUTE T''- in r '”Tblv mee'tng of the Orari R-’d -- branch of fhc Women’s ni' isinn of the Farmers’ Union, which feck the form of a euchre party and dance, proved a most successful function. Th“ first part of the evening was devoted to progressive euchre, at which fbe ladv’s prize was won by Mrs Whiting. Messrs W. Rule and W. Harris tied for the men’s prize. Mr Rule proving the winner in the final. Th» consolation prizes were awarded to Miss Ford and Master J. South. A conv'etition for the best article mad“ entirely of wool, was won by Mrs J. Waller, with Mrs W. Ford second. Me’dames Rule and Slattery acted as judges. Recitations given by Miss McDonald (Wellington), and Mr J. McComb (Arundel) were heartily applauded. Mr W. Ford carried out the duties of M.C. At the next meeting a demonstration will be given on making paper flowers. RIFLE CLUB. The following were the best scores at the last two shoots of the Orari Bridge Ladies’ Miniature Rifle Club:— Mrs South 68. Mrs Wordsworth 72, Mrs Ivey 69. Miss McLean 73. Miss J. Rule 73. Miss C. Rule 75. Mrs South 72, Mrs Pratt 73. Mrs Wordsworth 69. Miss McLean 72, Misa J. Rule 75, Miss C. Rule 6*.
