BIG DEFICIT.
HOSPITAL BOARDS BUDGET. By Telegraph—Pre?a Association CHRISTCHURCH, March 23. Expenditure £24,000 greater than the estimate, and revenue £4OOO less than the estimate will be the position of the North Canterbury Hospital Board on March 31st, the end of its financial year, according to a statement based on figures for the ten months ended. January 31st. The heavy demand on the Board’s funds for the relief of distress caused by unemployment is the primary cause of the excess of expenditure.
