INTERESTING DEMONSTRATION.

NEW ZEALAND MADE LAWN MOWERS. I A demonstration of the “Flexo” Ball Bearing Lawn Mower, made by Andersons Ltd., Christchurch, was held on Caroline Bay yesterday morning in connection with New Zealand Indus- j tries Week. I The demonstration proved to all those present, that the mower did all that it was claimed it would do, and it has exclusive features different to i any other mower on the market. | It has extreme flexibility, arched blades which throw the grass into the j centre of the cut, and the ease with i which the blades overcame nails, sticks, etc., which were purposely placed in its way, was astounding. It is exceptionally low cutting, and is specially suit- ' able for cricket pitches, bowling greens, etc. | The “Flexo” Lawn Mower is being I used by the Christchurch Domains Board for use in the Botanical Gar- I dens, and also the Christchurch City | Reserves, and it is giving every satisfaction. On an average approximately 13,000 Lawn Mowers are imported into New Zealand annually, and if only 10 per cent, of this number are bought in New Zealand it would enable the makers to keep their two machine shops fully employed right throughout the winter. These mowers will shortly be avail- j able from all the leading Hardware i Merchants
