NAZI LEADER SENT TO GAOL.
SLANDER OF POLICE. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 1, 1.10 a.m.) BERLIN, April 30. The Nazi leader, Dr. Joseph Goebels, failed to appear for trial on seven charges of slandering the police. He was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment, and fined £BO. A further fine of £SO was imposed for libelling the German administration.
