MERGING OF LOCAL AUTHORITIES. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received April 30, 9.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 30. In the Legislative Assembly, the Greater Sydney Bill was introduced. The scheme provides for the handing over of the water sewerage board, harbour trust, transport trust, national and other parks, all public utilities, as well as the Sydney City Council to a Greater Sydney Council, to be composed of twenty-three aldermen who will represent the different wards. The result would be a union of small municipalities, and their functions and obligations covering a huge suburban area.
