RETAINED BY LABOUR. United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, March 20. The Pontypridd by-election, owing to the resignation of Mr Mardy Jones, resulted:— Mr D. L. Davies (Labour), 20,687. Mr G. Crawshay (Liberal), 8,368. Mr D. Evans (Conservative), 5,489. At the general election the result was:— Mr J. I. M. Jones (Labour), 20,835. Mr J. V. Evans (Liberal) 14,421. Miss M. I. Williams (Conservative), 3,967.
