At Miami Beach, at the end of the second round of the open golf championship, Sarazen and Tumesa tied for first place with 139. Kirkwood was second with 141, and Hagen fifth with 144. A Miami message states that Sarazen won the Logarce open golf tourney with a score of 282. Kirkwood was fifth with 291, and Hagen tied for eighth place with 293. DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS. A special meeting of the council of the New Zealand Golf Association (Inc.), was held in Christchurch to meet representatives of the Christchurch Golf Club and discuss details in connection with the New Zealand championship meeting. The time-table was decided upon as follows, this being a slight alteration from what was previously arranged:— Thursday and Friday, October 15 and 16—Open championship. Saturday, October 17 —Amateur championship foursomes and professional championship foursomes (36 holes). Monday, October 19—First round of the amateur championship. Tuesday. October 20—Second and third, rounds of amateur championship. Wednesday morning, October 21—The O’Rorke Vase teams match. (The course will be closed on Wednesday afternoon to prepare for further matches). Thursday, October 22—Fourth and fifth rounds of amateur championship. The semi-final of the amateur championship will be played on Friday, October 23, and the final on Saturday, October 24. With regard to the restriction of entries, it was decided that all professionals who are members of a recognised Professional Golfers' Association may compete. As regards amateurs, the entries will be limited to the lowest handicap. Amateurs who enter equal in number to the professionals who have entered, but in no case shall there he less than 20 amateurs accepted. If necessary, the last places for amateurs will be drawn bv lot. J
