MOTOR FATALITY. By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, March 21. Charles John Barber, of Howick, was killed and his wife seriously injured in a motor smash in Kingsland Avenue this morning. The car got out of control, broke through a fence, and was wrecked in a small creek. A bystander, who was nearly struck by the car, rushed after it, and found Barber dead and his wife unconscious. She was sent to hospital with head Injuries. CYCLIST KILLED. By Telegraph—Press Association MASTERTON, March 22. Frank Walker, a married man with one child, of Featherston, was accidentally killed on the Tauhereinkau Road, at about 8 o’clock on Saturday night, when he was knocked off his bicycle by a motor truck driven by Thomas Black, of Featherston. COLLISION IN CHRISTCHURCH. By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, March 22. Mr W. A. Guy and his wife were seriously injured this morning when a motor-cycle on which they were riding collided with a motor-car driven by Mr J. Hannafin, chemist. The motor-bicycle was dragged under the car for some distance, and smashed against a fence. Guy had his head face and ears injured, and is in a serious condition. His wife, who was riding pillion, is suffering from head end shoulder injuries and shock, but her condition is not so serious HUN ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, March 22. Geoffrey Sinclair received a bullet in his right thigh while on a shooting expedition at Kairakl this morning, when another man’s gun was accidentally discharged. His condition is not serious.
